When the Houston Zoo needed a wall for their new African Gorilla enclosure, they chose Stone Strong Chiseled Granite blocks for strength, beauty, and ease of construction. The 20 foot tall wall had to be erected in a tight spot on a tight schedule, but the project came in on time and on budget.

Constructed along a limited lot line without disturbing existing landscaping and fencing
Access to the wall was limited due to dormitory construction within 10 yards

Westfield Shoppingtown: Lincoln, Nebraska

Awarded the 2004 ACI award of Excellence, Nebraska Chapter
No soil reinforcement used; 12' at walls tallest height
2,517 total sf
Underground utilities from parking lot above did not need to be relocated
Valuable parking above was kept intact
Pedestrian walkway above was not disrupted
Structural design of the block's voids provided ease of installation for a safety rail required to meet city safety standards
